Dear Yuletide Author: Thank you so much for writing something for me! I'm very much looking forward to reading whatever you come up with.

Some things I like: Emotional interaction, banter, worldbuilding, things that happen around the edges of canon.

Things I don't like: I'd prefer at least a moderately happy ending. Angst and explorations of canon trauma are fine, although I'd prefer no on-screen sexual violence.

Colors in the Dreamweaver's Loom Series - Beth Hilgartner
Ychass, Alexandra Scarsdale/Zan

Canon: Two books, Colors in the Dreamweaver's Loom and Feast of the Trickster, available for ebook purchase.

I really like fierce, bitter Ychass and the relationship that Zan slowly builds with her; I would be interested in pretty much anything about them (romantic or platonic, either is fine). Most obviously, I would love to see them interacting after the second book, when Zan has literally become a god. There's so much to explore there--how much of Zan is left in the Wanderer, and how would Ychass, with her complicated feelings about religion, relate to her now? Would interacting with Ychass help bring out Zan's old memories, or would they have to start over again? And on the even angstier side, in the second book Zan first denies Ychass and then assaults her, both of which must have been very painful for someone with Ychass's trust issues; I'd love to see them getting past that. Or maybe they just settle into a happy mortal/divine relationship and confuse everyone! I'd also be happy to see something set during their travels in the first book, especially from Ychass' POV.

Sector General - James White
Cha Thrat

Canon: Cha Thrat is the protagonist of the Sector General novel Code Blue: Emergency, which is available for ebook purchase as part of the omnibus General Practice. She appears as a minor character in several of the subsequent books, mainly The Genocidal Healer and Mind-Changer, but her main development is in Code Blue.

Cha Thrat goes through a lot of stress and change in Code Blue--leaving her very rigidly structured planet to work in an interstellar hospital, inadvertently causing all sorts of chaos, experiencing intense telepathic merges with strangers, changing from one job she'd worked very hard to achieve to another job she'd never thought was a possibility... I'd be interested to see anything about her continuing to adjust to these changes. I'd also love her dealing with canon-typical medical cases, as surgeon or psychologist or both. Or just interacting with other characters, particularly O'Mara or Murchison.

Liavek - Various Authors
Nerissa Benedicti, Tazli Ifino iv Larwin

Canon: The Liavek shared-world series consists of five anthologies; all of the stories featuring Nerissa or Tazli are collected in the ebook Points of Departure.)

This is an "or" request; I'd be happy with a story about either character. In both cases I'm interested in what happens to them post-canon. Does Nerissa continue to work for the House of Responsible Life now that Verdialos and Etriae are gone and she has chosen to live, and if not, what sort of life does she make for herself? What kind of relationship do she and Deleon and Jehane have as adults? What is Tazli's magical apprenticeship with Granny Carry like? Does she continue her friendship with Rikiki, or encounter other gods of Liavek? I'd also be happy with a story where Nerissa and Tazli did meet--not implausible, given their connections to Granny Carry and Jehane--and what they thought of each other or what sort of adventure they might get entangled in.

Solar Queen Series - Andre Norton
Any (tagset: Dane Thorson, Rip Shannon, Ali Kamil)

Canon: A series of four books written by Andre Norton in the '50s, followed by three collaborations with other writers in the '90s, about the space adventures of a small crew of merchant Free Traders. While I like the whole series, most relevant to my interests are Plague Ship, which is available on Gutenberg, and Derelict for Trade and A Mind for Trade, which are co-written by Sherwood Smith and available for ebook purchase.

My main interest is the Queen's three apprentices, and I'd just really like to see something about any or all of them. Possible prompts:
--Since the first four books are narrated by Dane, I'd love to see Rip or Ali's thoughts about Dane, or their POV on some of the canon events.
--In A Mind for Trade, Ali mentions that Rip befriended him when he came on board as "an angry, moody apprentice engineer with a very bad record"; I'd love to read about that.
--By the end of the series, the apprentices are working as officers on a secondary ship; how do their new responsibilities affect them and the way they interact with each other?
--Cool aliens that the trio manage to make a trade deal with! They don't get the chance for that often enough in canon.
--In one of the most gloriously fannish plot twists I've ever seen, in A Mind for Trade the boys develop a telepathic link (along with another character I'm less interested in; sorry, Jasper!). Please feel free to make use of this, especially since neither Dane nor Ali is very prone to talking about themselves otherwise.

--or anything you like, really, including slice-of-life conversations while they're making space coffee; I'd be happy with anything for this fandom.
