--Optimus Prime uses the time-tested battle technique of...causing Megatron to trip and fall down. *snerk* Man, what a visual.

--Poor, poor Bee; literally Starscream's helpless toy. (That's what he gets for interrupting Starscream's speech, I guess--somebody is going to listen to the gloating, so there!) He gets points for not giving up at all, though--through that whole scene he's struggling and mouthing off. Actually this applies to the whole episode (and his character in general); when the other Autobots do the depressive "we're just maintenance bots" thing, he turns it into a snark at Optimus, and then of course there's what happens to Blitzwing... *snicker* It would be nice if he had better brakes, figuratively and literally, but there's something to be said for refusal to be intimidated. (Actually, given how outclassed they are, and how new to fighting all of them but Ratchet are, the Autobots have really been holding up very well. Prime's speech this episode is cheesy, but he's right to be proud.)

--I gather that Megatron actually turning Starscream into scrap for betraying him is somewhat unusual in Transformers history. Possibly the lesson here is that trying to kill Megatron is one thing, but putting him in a position where he's dependent on the goodwill of a human? Doom.

--"Decepticons, transform and rise up!" Cool moment.

--Oh, look, Sari was totally not taken in by the giant evil robot. One of the things I like best about Sari is her ability to be sneaky--she can't possibly take down Blackarachnia, fine, she'll just manipulate her into finding someone who can. Possibly I should not be so critical about her hanging onto to the Allspark key; yeah, she's small and squishy, but she can work around that. (That said...it's not that I expected her to take it well that the key got stolen, but seriously, kid, do you think you would have fared any better if you'd had it at the time? And you can't grow your arm back!)

--Aw, Optimus wants to keep the giant robot war off Earth! Naturally the plot will not allow for this, but I appreciate the impulse. (I imagine that dispersed All-Spark material will shortly make the issue moot. Otherwise the only thing keeping the Decepticons on Earth will be that key, and presumably under those circumstances even Sari would give the damned thing up.)

--So a spaceship crash and a giant robot fight totally fails to get the Dinobots' attention? Here I thought they were all territorial and stuff. Maybe they decided that the plane robots trying to kill the car robots was terrific entertainment and settled in with the Dinobot equivalent of popcorn.

--"Your annoying personality." I love Prowl so, so much; he says things like this with the best smirk, plus he sets Bumblebee up to take down Blitzwing with just a few catcalls. Yay for tactics which are both efficient and hilarious!

--After a season of being well-intentioned but deeply, disastrously gullible, Isaac Sumdac finally gets a chance to step up, and he actually does really well. He confesses immediately and at length (and he didn't really need to, at that point), he insists on risking his life to fix his mistake, and it's only his intelligent intervention that gives Prime his chance to stop Megatron. Go Isaac! Not that all this good karma saves him...

--I cannot wait to see the Cybertron Elite Guard show up, so that Prime can explain to them how he blew up the All-Spark. I feel this will be an interesting conversation! *g* Of course, it's already been established that the Autobot leadership would rather nobody have the All-Spark than risk the Decepticons getting their hands on it, but still, I sense quite a lot of "you did what??" in Prime's future.

--I have no idea what Sari's dark secret is (something to do with her genes, I guess, but I can't think of a reason why the All-Spark would care). I look forward to finding out, though.

--I know the ending scene is supposed to make me worry about Isaac, and it sort of does, but I immediately got sidetracked worrying about Sari and how upset she's going to be and who's going to be responsible for her--I imagine the robots did most of that already, but at least her dad was there. Does she have relatives? Someone? Someone who is possibly going to be unsympathetic to her running around with the giant robots? (Which could actually work in nicely with a show in which the Autobots' superiors show up and create trouble.) Or, of course, there's the obvious thing where she just moves in with the Autobots, which would be sweet and all; I just somehow can't picture Child Welfare Services going for it...
