Okay, so, returning to fannish squee
Nov. 5th, 2004 11:23 amI bought a Jean Grey bust! It's the Morrison version, with the black jacket and the green Phoenix T-shirt; she's currently sitting next to my monitor at home looking seductive. It's been sitting on my comic shop shelf for months, but I have refrained because I don't buy statues. But my comics shop was having a moving sale this week (fortunately for me they're not moving far), and I just couldn't resist.
I have action figures all over my floor right now, preparatory to figuring out where they can be placed (anywhere I can; I've got tons of them). I am amused to realize that my biases are showing: I have eight different versions of Scott Summers. (Of course, much of that goes to availability; if there were that many versions of, say, Connor Hawke, I'd buy those too.)
Also, I discovered that for some reason I still had a baby My Little Pony stashed somewhere, and, well, LM has been a bad influence. The pony's currently got my Booster figure backed up against a wall, and yes, Caia, I'll take a picture. *g* Maybe she could go intimidate Batman next...

Date: 2004-11-06 06:45 am (UTC)So I imagine you already have a Green Arrow bust...
(By the way: Jean Grey's bust would be nice, but what about the rest of her upper body?)

Date: 2004-11-06 07:55 am (UTC)You have a bust? Ollie, have you been involved in some sort of unfortunate gender-switching accident I haven't heard about?
And are there pictures? But, no, I don't have a GA statue because, as I said, I don't buy statues. In general they're just too expensive for me. I do have a nice action figure of you and a decent one of your son, if you need the bragging rights.

In this case "bust" means "from the waist up"--but really, Ollie, just go make up with Dinah already. Phoenix is so out of your league, even if she wasn't presently dead.
