And another, entirely different reason that I love comics: because in the course of a twenty-year-old story with Batman and the Creeper fighting animated origami, I can find the following passage:

"We hear a lot lately about the "will of the majority"...but a democracy doesn't mean freedom for the majority of people...but for all people! Democracy isn't forcing your idea of what's right on everyone--it's having the freedom to practice your own morality--and the courage to allow others to practice theirs!"

I remember that issue! Or at least I think I do. There can't have been two with Batman and the Creeper and animated origami.

While one can never be absolutely certain of these things in comics, in this case I'm prepared to agree with you. :) It's probably the least of Brennert's stories, but that's still saying a good deal, and there's some quite nice material with Creeper's alter-ego.
