I was going to wait for the trade of the first story to come out and start with that, but this? I want.

And as one of the ten people who'll be picking these issues up for the guest stars, can anybody tell me how Brian Vaughan does with established characters? I know he can write, because I've read Y, but can he write characters he didn't create? (I'm not looking at Geoff Johns. Really. Not even a little...) I'm not particularly worried (if all else fails I'll look at the pretty pictures... ;), but just so I know...

Vaughan's been doing a fine job with Mystique...I knew you'd be interested in picking this one up. :)

Isn't one or the other of them dead? And not "Marvel revolving door of death dead", but "deader than a doorknob dead"?

Not that I'm aware of, and I'm fairly sure I have their most recent appearances. Cloak was believed dead for four or five months during their last series, but it was never meant to be permanent. Now, Chuck Dixon did mess with their powers, and judging by that cover this is either being fixed or ignored, but that's a good thing. :)
