Re: FLASH #201

I feel the need to call something to your attention. Possibly it's picky of me, but I get that way sometimes. Officer Fred Chyre, of the Keystone Police Department, is white. His partner Detective Jared Morillo, however, is black. Therefore, if you depict them in such a way that they are the same color--and granted the lighting isn't the best, but it's sufficient to tell--you are screwing up. Clear? (Also, Morillo would never, ever wear that tie. Trust me.)

Hope we've got that cleared up. Have a nice day.

Finally read. Still digesting. But you're right about the coloring. For some reason I'd always thought of Morillo as being of Indian descent, rather than African, so I can see the colorist trying to distinguish him from the mechanic and his daughter--but even if that's the case, it's definitely not enough.

He and Connor ought to have a little 'chat' with TPTB....

I'm wondering if it's the artist's fault, somehow, not the colorist's, which is why I addressed it the way I did. I mean, normally I'd just assume that a coloring problem was because of the colorist, but when he's been working the book for the last thirty issues, and the artist is brand new, I can't help but wonder.
