DVD fun

Today is the day the Daredevil DVD came out. Some of you may already know that. Some of you may even have had it circled on your calendars, but I suspect that's just me. :) Movie! Features! Interviews! Incentive to do that story I've been putting off! Coool. :)

What bemuses me a little is the freebie that came with it: the Batman movie. No, not the Michael Keaton one. That would have made sense. Nor any of the sequels, either. The *first* Batman movie. Apparently they feel that nothing will appeal to the Daredevil audience quite like Adam West and Burt Ward. Or perhaps they felt it was the only way to get rid of them (this somehow strikes me as more likely). Of course, since I spent many brain-rotting hours as a child *watching* that show, I'm probably going to watch the movie too. The incongruity amuses me, is all. :)

On top of that, it turned out this store had the DVD of Fake. Fake, for anyone 'Rith hasn't lured into it yet (like so many things in my life, this is All 'Rith's Fault) is a shounen-ai manga. Translation: cute guys chasing after each other. *snicker* The fact that the cute guys are cops, snark at each other a lot, and indulge in some extremely pretty h/c...well, hey, bonus. So I've got an anime of pretty-pretty guys kissing each other just waiting for me to get home to it. Mmmm-yum. :)

(Why couldn't Teen Titans have picked *that* to be influenced by? I'd be *much* more interested... :)

Have just this moment noticed that you have an lj now ... OK, so I'm slow. I just didn't recognise the username *g*.

The Batman movie is actually a lot of fun in a campy kind of way. It was on TV down here recently ... I think my favourite part is the difficulties of bomb disposal on a pier (um, you'll know it when you see it.)

And Fake is neat, isn't it? I got it for my birthday from Yasmin this year. Pretty boys.

Welcome to my humble livejournal. Home of...well, okay, not much as yet. :)

OK, so I'm slow. I just didn't recognise the username *g*.

It's my AIM nick, picked a while back for my obsessions with certain green-themed comics characters. While it's a little late to not use my real name, this one does come in handy when I need a username.

Oh, that bit I've heard of; it's notorious. Or possibly infamous. "Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb." Heh. :)

Glad to be here *g*.

I've ended up being trustyraste on AIM, since Andraste and all my usual variations on it (Trusty, Draste, Andi) were taken. I didn't have to go quite that far for my lj username, than goodness.

It's the ducklings that really get to me. I mean, ducklings? It's the ocean! There are no ducks in the ocean! (Although the bit with the dolphins is considerably less plausible than that. But I won't spoil it for you. Watch and laugh.)
