Oh! No, I can see that the above was unclear, but what I received was the show itself, not a soundtrack. And in fact upon checking it's not a CD but a (very cheap) DVD; it had just been a long time since I bought it and I'd gotten confused.
And it really is very good; I viewed it at a monthly anime club I attend, and after the ending reduced me to tears I decided that I really wanted to own it myself.
