"Adjust only those controls that are covered by the operating instructions as an improper adjustment of other controls may result in carnage."
Evidently this DVD player contains a special signalling device, and any attempt to improperly adjust the controls signals a crack team of ninjas to leap through your window and kill every living thing they see. So it's good they warn you. :)
